If you’ve been thinking about going to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year and figured you’d grab tickets later, Disney has a small piece of advice for you:
Maybe don’t.
Walt Disney World has now sold out 12 dates for the 2026 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, with two additional October dates selling out today. That leaves plenty of party nights still available, but the calendar is getting noticeably less generous for guests who have a specific date in mind.
And yes, it’s only August.
Welcome to Disney World Halloween season, where apparently we start worrying about October before Florida has even stopped trying to melt us.
Which Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Dates Are Sold Out?
The 2026 party runs on select nights from August 7 through October 31. Disney originally announced 38 party dates for this year’s event.
As of August 12, 12 nights have sold out.
That doesn’t mean every remaining date is about to disappear overnight. It does, however, mean that guests who have their heart set on a particular Friday, October weekend, or Halloween-adjacent date shouldn’t assume they’ll be able to stroll onto Disney’s website in September and find everything waiting for them.
Because Disney World has apparently decided that planning ahead is no longer optional.
Why Is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party So Popular?
There are a few obvious reasons.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party isn’t simply Magic Kingdom after dark with a few pumpkins thrown around.
It’s a separate-ticket event featuring special entertainment, Halloween character appearances, trick-or-treating, themed food, merchandise, and attractions that make the evening feel different from a regular Magic Kingdom visit.
The 2026 party also includes returning favorites such as Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, and Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular.
There’s also a new element this year, with Stitch hosting an ever-changing dance party in Tomorrowland.
So, yeah. People like it.
And considering Disney starts Halloween in August, apparently they’re not the only ones who are ready to move on from summer.
You Can Enter Magic Kingdom Before the Party Starts
One of the biggest advantages of a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket is that you don’t have to wait until 7 p.m. to enter.
Party guests can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m., giving them several hours in the park before the official party begins at 7 p.m.
That makes the ticket a little more useful than simply showing up at 7 p.m., especially if you’re trying to squeeze in attractions, grab dinner, meet characters, or get yourself into full Halloween mode before the party gets underway.
Just remember: You don’t get to treat those extra three hours as bonus party time. The special entertainment and party-specific offerings begin according to the event schedule.
How Much Are Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Tickets?
Disney’s 2026 ticket prices range from $119 to $229 per person, plus tax, depending on the night. Annual Passholders and eligible Disney Vacation Club members can save $10 per ticket on eligible party dates through October 2.
That’s not exactly pocket change.
Which is precisely why I wouldn’t recommend buying a party ticket just because you feel like you’re supposed to.
If the party isn’t important to you, save the money.
But if you’re specifically traveling to Disney World for Halloween and want the parade, fireworks, characters, trick-or-treating, costumes and special entertainment, I’d make the decision sooner rather than later.
Should You Buy Your Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Tickets Now?
If you’ve already chosen your vacation dates and know which party you want to attend, I’d buy sooner rather than later.
Disney itself warns that party dates can sell out and recommends purchasing tickets in advance for your desired date.
And we’re already seeing that happen.
You don’t necessarily need to panic-buy a ticket at this exact second while clutching your credit card like it’s the last churro on Earth.
But if you’re visiting in October, have limited flexibility, or specifically want one of the more popular weekend dates, waiting until the last minute is gambling with your Halloween plans.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is proving once again that Disney guests don’t need much convincing when it comes to pumpkins, candy, villains and fireworks.
Twelve dates are already sold out, and more will likely follow as the season progresses.
So if the party is on your Disney World must-do list, check your dates now.
Because discovering that your preferred party date sold out while you were busy deciding whether you really needed the $17 Halloween popcorn bucket would be a particularly Disney way to spend an afternoon.
